Plugin que permite agregar un corrector ortográfico a nuestro editor en WordPress y esta inspirado en herramientas como Orangoo Spell Check o Revisor, que utilizan el motor de vinificación de Google y Aspell. Todo esto gracias al código libre de GoogieSpell.

Características

Instalación
- Descarga y descomprime el archivo corrector.zip
- Subir a la carpeta wp-content/plugins de tu wordpress.
- Activar el plugin desde el menú de administración.
Actualización
- Desactiva el plugin desde el menú de administración
- Elimina la carpeta corrector de tu directorio de plugins
- Sigue los pasos de la instalación
Importante: Actualmente el plugin no trabaja aun con el editor WYSIWYG.

There is a bug when using on IE 6.
When it finds a miss-spelled word and you click on a word to correct it to the correct spelling you get a javascript error:

So type in a miss-spelled word and try to correct it. Of course use IE 6.

Yo tengo la version 2.0.2 de WP, asi que eso no deberia ser un problema. Solo debes asegurarte que hayas subido todos los archivos contenidos en el zip a tu carpeta de plugins en tu servidor y que estos se encuentren en un folder llamado ‘corrector’.
Por cierto, esta version aun no trabaja con el editor WYSIWYG de WordPress que es el que viene activado por default, solo con el tradicional.

Will, there’s seems to be a problem with IE 7, but other than that, the plugin seems to work fine with IE 6, i’ve tested the script in several machines but no one give me that error, maybe it’s having conflicts with another plugin. i’ll keep looking.

Whoops! It turns out it’s my fault. So your plugin does work fine. I mis spoke.
It’s all my fault. The problem is trying to use your plug-in to add it to my comment box using:

Will, at this moment i haven’t found what the reason might be, if you want you can try the original script of googiespell, maybe that will work with your comment box.

No parece funcionar con WP 2.0.3. He revisado la instalación, y todo está correctamente, sin embargo, aunque escriba un “avía” este no lo detecta, y mira que es gorda
Aun no he instalado WP 2.0.3. Para ser sinceros estaba esperando por WP 2.0.4 para realizar la actualizacion, ya que 2.0.3 parece tener aun algunos problemas.

En el screenshot marca como incorrecto varios tags html, hay forma de evitar esto?

This was working excellently and all of a sudden it’s not. I don’t have WYSIWYG installed and I don’t think I’ve changed my pugins in between it working and not working. It always claims there are no speling mistakes even when I write jibberish. It used to pick up “http” in image links as mistakes but it doesn’t anymore. Any idea why?

Version 0.2 is not working. Shows up as an empty tool bar. FF javascript console reports:

Just refresh your browser a few times, apparently the old script remains in the cache, and thats why it shows an empty button on the toolbar.

Bueno, de hecho si hay una cuestion. Para hacer el request a Google utilizo una funcion de PHP llamada fsockopen. Aparentemente la funcion tiene un bug cuando PHP corre bajo windows, que devuelve un error cuando trata de hacer una conexion ssl o segura.
Asi que si tu server corre bajo windows, es probable que sufras de este problema. Si tu eres el administrador de tu server puedes solucionar el problema. Mas info aqui.

No hay problema con eso, aunque mi servidor es de una empresa de hosting, sé que corre bajo Linux, así que en principio puedo descartarlo.

Daniel, llevo tiempo buscando un corrector ortográfico para WordPress. De hecho, ya había probado el script GoogieSpell, en el que se inspira tu plugin, que nos viene como agua de mayo a los sufridos blogueros.
He instalado el plugin, de acuerdo con tus instrucciones, en un WordPress 2.0.3, en el que alojo mi bitácora. El plugin se instala bien y aparece en el editor, pero no funciona. Mi bitácora está alojada en servidores Linux.
Ya he visto que algún otro usuario manifiesta problemas semejantes. ¿Alguna idea de lo que pasa?

@Eduardo: La verdad no he encontrado la raiz del problema, mi host trabaja sobre linux, pero fuera de eso no tengo mucho control para hacer alguna otra prueba. Constantemente visito alguno de los foros, si veo alguna explicacion te la hare saber. Saludos.
To test your plugin I first installed it on my home box via the xampp application. Everything worked ok so I installed it on three online blogs that are under a single domain.
I have not had any success getting it to work. The spell quicktag appears but it refuses to either check the spelling or open the drop down box to select a language.

Mine installs fine, doesn’t give any errors and seems to work perfectly.

@Kristarella: As far as i know, there’s no changes on the Google side. I’ve recently updated to WP 2.0.4 and the script seems to work just fine.Nevertheless, i’ll go straight to the source, the GoogieSpell script, to see if some changes have been made.
For those who have updated the plugin, it takes a while to work because of the WP-Cache system. You need to delete the WP-Cache or else refresh your browser a couple of times.

Use la versión anterior y no me dejaba utilizarla. Pero ahora mismo acabo de ver esta nueva y he decidido volver a probar, pero tampoco me funciona. Se activa correctamente pero cuando le das a Check spelling no hace absolutamente nada.

Como mencionaba en mi comentario anterior, para los que actualizan deben o bien borrar el cache de WP o refrescar un par de veces el navegador cuando esten en su Panel de Administracion.
El cache guarda el script antiguo es por eso que recien actualizado, este aun no funciona, todo se debe a la manera en que WP hace el cache de las paginas.
Yo lo instalé de cero y me pasaba lo mismo, no funcionaba.
Voy a probar ahora instalarlo nuevamente y borrando la cache.
Espero que funcione.

Aparentemente bajo algunas versiones de PHP hay un bug en dicha version, mas que nada en las versiones de Windows, pero se ha reportado tb bajo Linux. Yo en mi server local de prueba -que corre bajo windows- no puedo realizar una conexion segura, por lo que el script parace no hacer nada, no es hasta que lo pruebo en mi Host que funciona. He tratado de corregir ese bug compilando de nuevo las librerias de PHP sin exito, asi que por el momento me he resignado a no ejecutarlo de manera local. Tal vez por ahi podria estar tambien tu problema.

Odd (and minor) issue…
Although the plugin detects the mis-spellings I only get the suggestions IF i select the language.
If I click the ‘Check Spelling’ link with out selecting the language I get an empty box.
If I select the language then ‘Check Spelling’ it works fine.

Hola, nada mas que felicitarte por el excelente plugin, pero tambien te queria comentar que por alguna razon al usar corrector y tener activado ImageManager este ultimo no funciona correctamente, para ser mas preciso IM se cuelga al querer insertar una imagen.

Carmen, este plugin funciona solo con WordPress. Para tu messenger creo que tendrias que buscar otro tipo de solucion.
La solución al problema es que el servidor que hostea wordpress debe tener instalado OpenSSL y el PHP compilado con soporte para OpenSSL tambien.

por mas que trato de hacer ms revisiones ortograficas el mensaje es el mismo.
Ese error se presenta cuando no se puede establecer una conexion con el servidor de google quien es el que presta el servicio. Estas probando el plugin de modo local o estas alojado en algun servidor?
lo tengo en un servidor de pago, la plataforma del servidor no lo recuerdo en estos minutos creo que es linux.

I love this plugin, but I just uploaded to the new ‘Ella’ version of WP an dit does not work anymore. Just and FYI. I would love it if it could be made to work, it’s the only spellchecker I’ve really liked or that I’ve been able to get to work easily.
I also love this plugin, but with Ella the new version does not work for me either. it pops up and says “An error was encountered on the server. Please try again later.”

Hello, I’m using the newest wp (2.1.1) and have discovered that your plugin does not work when PhotoPress is activated.
This is an old site that has been completely updated, with a user that has used PhotoPress for a very long time and is comfortable with it. PhotoPress worked without a problem before activating Corrector and still works, but it causes Corrector’s “Check Spelling” button to not do anything. The hand appears when the mouse pointer is hovered over it, but nothing happens when you click. Corrector works great when PhotoPress is deactivated.
You have created a wonderful plugin and I hope to use it. I’m willing to tweak plugin files and would appreciate any suggestions you might have.

instale el pgu-in y la unica forma de correccion que me da es en ingles, que debo haser para que me pueda corregir en otros idiomas. Me podrias ayudar?
Supongo que para ti será un coñazo que te repita esto, pero seria muy interesante, que aunque el corrector no actuara en el editor WYSIWYG, si tuviera un botón presente. O almenos un boton en esa misma pagina (por ejemplo al lado del de Publicar) ya que así nos acordariamos de revisar. No se si será muy dificil de implementar, pero lo veo una solucion/parche bastante facil.
Bueno, el editor WYSIWYG cuenta ya con revision de ortografia, el problema es lo limitado de sus idiomas pero puedes agregar el idioma español.
La cuestion porque no lo agrego al editor de WYSIWYG es por los conflictos que trae con el javascript de TinyMCE.

No me funciona, simplemente dice que no hay errores, será el host con PHP5 :(, a ver si con una nueva versión lo haces compatible :P.
Puede ser que no tengas OpenSSL en la config de PHP, lo requieres para que el script pueda accesar a una direccion de un servidor remoto, en este caso Google.
